On Wednesday, I enjoyed a conversation with my friend Keith Boyer. You can actually listen to our conversation by clicking here.

Typical weekend attendance averaged 1500 in four services in a town of 25,000. They were running out of space. They owned property and were about ready to “pull the trigger” on the next phase by entering into a building program to increase the size of the “storehouse.” However, as Keith and his elders sought the Lord, they felt directed toward the idea of keeping the church “local.” Instead of building a bigger building and asking people from far and wide to drive to them, they wondered what would happen if they took the church to where the people lived. Today, Crossroads Community Church is “one church with multiple locations” (currently on five campuses in three states) determined to make the church local again. Over 2300 people are connected with Christ and one another through the dispersed campuses and they are poised for another phase of expansion through a very unique and cost effective model of multi-site. Take a few minutes to listen to this great story loaded with valuable insights that will be a blessing to any leader contemplating multiplication through multi-site.
